Previously the managing director of the Bombay-inspired Indian restaurant group, Brian Trollip has been promoted to CEO. In this new role, he will oversee all facets of the business as it continues to grow and evolve.<\/p>\n
Trollip joined the company five months after its inception in November 2010, when it was operating a single restaurant in Covent Garden with around 50 employees. Today, the group boasts 13 establishments, including 10 Dishoom locations and three Permit Rooms, with the latest opening in Oxford this week. The group now employs approximately 2,000 people and reported a turnover of \u00a3117 million last year.<\/p>\n
He became managing director of Dishoom in October 2020. <\/p>\n
\u201cBrian has been with us almost from the beginning of our journey in 2010,\u201d remarks Dishoom co-founder Shamil Thakrar. \u201cWe had to learn a lot, and Brian was instrumental in making it work. Over the past 14 years, as Brian has put up with us, we became a strong team and expanded our restaurant openings.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trollip has played a key role in Dishoom’s ongoing growth and development, including the launch of its drinks-focused sister brand, Permit Room. <\/p>\n
