Sticks’n’Sushi, the Danish-Japanese restaurant group known for its classic and creative sushi as well as grilled sticks, has appointed Kushal Banerjee as its new Chief Financial Officer.
With over 17 years of experience, Banerjee brings significant expertise in M&A, capital markets, and corporate strategy. He will lead the finance teams in Copenhagen, Berlin, and London, focusing on financial decision-making, implementing strategic board recommendations, and contributing to the group’s overall expansion.
Before joining Sticks’n’Sushi, Banerjee served as Finance Director at Azzurri Group, a private equity-backed hospitality investment platform with over 230 locations. His previous roles include positions at Daily Mail & General Trust PLC, Lion Capital, and Manchester United.

Founded in Copenhagen in 1994 by half-Danish, half-Japanese brothers Jens and Kim Rahbek alongside Thor Andersen, Sticks’n’Sushi has expanded to include twelve restaurants in and around the Danish capital, fourteen in the UK, and three in Berlin, Germany.
