German Doner Kebab (GDK) has made two new senior leadership appointments: Tommy Edmond is now the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Amit Pancholi has been appointed as the UK Franchise Development Director.
These appointments arrive as GDK prepares to launch its 150th store in the near future, maintaining its aggressive growth strategy. The brand has reported a year-on-year sales increase of 7.7% and is planning further expansion in both domestic and international markets.
Tommy Edmond brings more than ten years of financial leadership experience, having held senior positions at renowned companies including McDonald’s UK & ROI, McLaren Applied, and Uptake Strategies. He studied Accountancy and Finance at the University of Cape Town and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, thanks to his tenure with Deloitte in Johannesburg. Edmond expressed his excitement about joining GDK, stating the alignment of his experience with the company’s ambitious plans.
Amit Pancholi, a seasoned Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) professional, joins GDK after leadership roles at Papa John’s and Domino’s Pizza. His extensive understanding of business development, property management, and franchising will assist GDK’s growth, particularly in store acquisition and franchise partnerships. Pancholi is enthusiastic about his new role and eager to contribute to the brand’s next growth phase.
