The Revel Collective, previously known as Revolution Bars Group plc, a prominent operator of over 60 premium bars and gastro pubs, primarily under the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs brands, has enhanced its Board with the appointments of Gavin George and Charlie McVeigh as Non-Executive Directors.
Gavin George co-founded The Laine Pub Company in 1997, serving as its CEO until last month. His company manages a thriving estate of 55 pubs and venues in Brighton, London, and Birmingham, renowned for its content-driven sales approach. Additionally, the business boasts a 20,000 HL craft brewery. He continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director at Punch Pubs & Co, which purchased Laine in 2018.
Charlie McVeigh brings two decades of experience as an owner/operator of various bar and pub establishments. His journey culminated in the founding, growth, and successful sale of The Draft House, a collection of 16 craft beer pubs, to BrewDog in 2018. Following that, he has held the position of Non-Executive Director at The Breakfast Club, a restaurant project, and Allsopp’s Taverns, a brewing and pub company.
Luke Johnson, Chairman of The Revel Collective, remarked: “Both Gavin and Charlie have created and led successful licensed bar businesses, and the Board will greatly benefit from their expertise. We have much work ahead and are eager to see their contributions.”
