Market-leading aluminium foil tray manufacturer, i2r Packaging Solutions, has unveiled its new line of premium trays aimed at the foodservice industry. This collection showcases five primary tray options available in silver as well as premium black and gold finishes. Accompanied by high-quality, transparent clip-on polypropylene lids, these trays are an ideal choice for food deliveries and quick-service restaurants looking to enhance their packaging solutions.

The design emphasizes both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The robust separate lids ensure a secure fit while allowing a clear view of the tray’s contents, enhancing practicality and presentation. Unlike less durable alternatives, the lids add to the product’s overall premium feel, catering to customers who appreciate stylish yet functional packaging.

The silver range includes both round bowls and rectangular containers, providing versatility for various food types. All trays are sized to meet industry standards for compatibility across the sector. The lids are designed for easy stacking, maximizing space efficiency during storage and transport—essential for busy foodservice operations.

The black and gold range elevates the overall experience, featuring premium finish trays with clear lids that maintain the visual appeal of the food from the kitchen to the customer. The leak-resistant lids effectively keep food fresh and intact, whether for dine-in or delivery. The containers are not only functional but also visually appealing, catering to the modern takeaway experience, where social media visibility is crucial. These table-ready trays offer a premium aesthetic that complements high-quality food, delivering a perfect blend of practicality and style.

Both the trays and lids are versatile, suitable for hot and cold foods. The aluminium containers can withstand temperatures up to 300 degrees, while the polypropylene lids can handle up to 90 degrees, making them safe for use in ovens, air fryers, and microwaves. Their durable design ensures that food service businesses can count on maintaining food quality throughout preparation, storage, and delivery.

Sustainability is also a priority; the trays are made from 100% recyclable and reusable aluminium, addressing the growing need for responsible packaging in the food industry. The lids feature the ‘Rinse. Reuse. Recycle’ message, promoting a circular economy and minimizing environmental impact.

Michael Goor, i2r’s head of new channel sales UK, stated, “The new premium trays from i2r offer unparalleled versatility and durability, which is critical for today’s foodservice market. The containers and lids are designed to maintain food quality and leak-proof presentation during delivery while being easy to handle, stack, and store. This combination of aesthetics and practicality provides an ideal solution for foodservice businesses seeking to elevate their packaging.”

The new trays and lids are now available for order, with samples obtainable via sales@i2rps.com.

i2r will showcase the new range at stand W30 during the Responsible Packaging Expo, taking place at London’s ExCel on 15-16 October. At the expo, Michael Goor and Tom Giddings from Alupro will present a seminar on ‘Sustainability and Innovation in Aluminium Foodservice Packaging’ on 16 October at 1.15pm in seminar theatre 5.
