Holiday Inn Winchester has officially rebranded to voco Winchester Hotel & Spa after an extensive refurbishment that lasted eight months and cost £2 million.
Originally built in 2010, the hotel is situated on the edge of the South Downs National Park, just five minutes from Winchester City Centre. It previously underwent a £2.5 million refurbishment in 2019, followed by this latest update and rebranding to voco in 2024.
The hotel features 131 guestrooms, including double, twin, accessible, premium, grand rooms, and a suite. Following the refurbishment, all rooms have seen improvements in quality and service. The newly designed premium and grand rooms now include complimentary mini bars, Nespresso machines, and bedding made from 100% recyclable materials.
voco Winchester offers nine flexible meeting and event spaces, making it a preferred venue for weddings and private functions, accommodating up to 200 guests. The on-site restaurant, Kitchen 21, is especially noted for its distinct 21-inch pizza. The Ana Spa, added in 2019, features treatment rooms, a Hydro-Pool, Himalayan Salt Sauna, Sensory Shower, Crystal Steam Room, and a Bubble Foot Spa.
Jon Beare, General Manager of voco Winchester Hotel & Spa, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are delighted to rebrand to voco following a fantastic refurbishment programme which has benefitted the hotel throughout. Anyone staying with us can experience the perfect blend of Winchester’s rich heritage and modern amenities, and we look forward to welcoming guests to this beautiful and improved contemporary hotel.”
