Sandwich Sandwich offers a variety of catering options that feature an assortment of buffets and platters, showcasing their signature deep-filled sandwiches alongside savory pastries, including Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, and pies. They also provide snacks like crisps and sweet treats such as cheesecake and chocolate brownies.
“We’re not just raising the bar — we’re redefining what catering can be,” remarks Nick Kleiner, the founder of Sandwich Sandwich.
Established in 2010 as Gotham Sandwich Co, the brand rebranded itself to Sandwich Sandwich in 2012. It launched its first London location in July at the junction of Gresham Street and St Martins Le Grand in The City, in addition to operating three sites in Bristol.
The expansion to London followed Sandwich Sandwich being named Uber Eats UK and Ireland’s Restaurant of the Year in October last year, which came with a £100,000 prize to further develop the business.
The brand has gained immense popularity in recent years, primarily driven by social media, with its visually appealing deep-filled sandwiches becoming a viral sensation on Instagram.
In the summer, Joshua Kleiner, Nick’s son and head of operations and marketing for Sandwich Sandwich, indicated plans for a second London location by the end of the year, although a specific site has not yet been disclosed. The group also aims to establish four or five additional sites in London next year, with aspirations for further expansion across the UK and internationally.
“There is no reason why Sandwich Sandwich will not take over Pret a Manger or Subway,” Joshua stated. “They are outdated. I believe those companies haven’t changed with the times. People are so fed up.”
