Vietnamese Kitchen is thrilled to announce the opening of Kêu’s fourth location in Borough this November 2024. Renowned for its authentic Saigon street food lunch offerings, including their famous banh mi, the new Kêu Borough will feature an expanded menu with a diverse selection of noodles and rice dishes, along with extended hours for late-night dining.
Hieu Bui, the distinguished restaurateur behind Vietnamese Kitchen, has been sharing traditional Vietnamese cuisine with Londoners for over 20 years. With three successful restaurant brands across six locations—Kêu, Cây Tre, and Viet Grill—Bui has built a dedicated following. The new Kêu outlet will be located on Borough High Street, positioned between London Bridge and Borough Market, one of London’s most famous food hubs.
Drawing inspiration from Vietnam’s late-night noodle bars, the new venue will offer Kêu’s signature lunch menu along with exciting new evening and late-night offerings. The hand-pulled noodles at Kêu have their roots in Saigon’s Chinatown, while the Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang—originally crafted by Chinese immigrants in Cambodia and perfected in Saigon—adds a rich cultural element to the menu, celebrating the diversity of Vietnam’s street food scene.
The new location will showcase a fresh aesthetic for the Kêu brand, inspired by the historic charm of Saigon, featuring traditional colors and designs from the region. Guests will enjoy traditional noodle-house seating arrangements, creating an authentic and comfortable dining atmosphere. Additionally, there will be extra seating downstairs, including a long table for up to 12 diners, providing a more intimate experience away from the busy main floor. Outdoor seating options will also be available, allowing patrons to savor their favorite dishes while soaking in the vibrant market atmosphere.
“I am thrilled to bring the Kêu brand to Borough, an area that mirrors the vibrant atmosphere in Saigon,” says Hieu Bui, Founder of Kêu. “The expanded menu we have created will introduce more of Saigon’s street food favorites to the capital, in a destination that lies at the heart of London’s food scene. We hope to continue spreading the love for Vietnamese cuisine and culture through Kêu’s newest opening, offering an exciting new destination for food lovers in London.”
