Papa John’s UK has reported a pre-tax loss of £18.5 million for FY23, an increase from a loss of £2.9 million in 2022. The group’s turnover slightly rose from £95.1 million to £95.9 million in the UK during 2023. This announcement follows the group’s earlier disclosure in March 2024 of plans to close 43 underperforming locations.

Hydes Brewery has reopened The Nursery Inn after a £250,000 refurbishment. The Grade II-listed pub, constructed in 1939, has been carefully redecorated and furnished to preserve its original character. Jordan Nolan has been appointed as the new manager, marking his first managerial role with Hydes.
