The new store is set to open in spring 2025. Velvet Taco has announced its first international location in Soho, London, as part of a multi-unit franchise agreement with Velvet Taco UK.
Clay Dover, president and CEO of Velvet Taco, expressed excitement about choosing Piccadilly Circus as the inaugural site.
The London menu will feature items such as Spicy Tikka Chicken, which includes crispy tenders, house-made spicy tikka sauce, buttered cilantro basmati rice, raita crema, and Thai basil, along with the London-inspired Fish ’n Chips, which consists of beer-battered cod, curry aioli, french fries, malt vinegar, and napa slaw.
Additionally, the restaurant will have a full bar offering drinks like the Kick Ass Margarita, signature sides, and their Red Velvet Cake, a double-layered dessert with cream cheese frosting and house-made cajeta sauce.
This location is expected to create approximately 40 jobs in the local community, with plans for further openings across the UK in the forthcoming years. More information regarding future expansions, both in the UK and internationally, will be announced later.
