The Revel Collective has reported a widening of its fiscal year losses before tax to £36.7 million, primarily due to non-cash exceptional impairment charges associated with its restructuring plan. The group noted that while festive trading was strong and the acquisition of Peach Pubs contributed positively, the closure of 13 underperforming bars negatively impacted sales, which totaled £149.5 million, reflecting a 2% decrease.

Big Mamma announced a significant increase in its UK turnover, which nearly doubled to £40 million in 2023, with pre-tax profits soaring to £3.7 million from £359,000 in 2022. The group’s impressive performance has been attributed to the attention it has received on social media, both from its own posts and those shared by guests visiting its London venues.

Chef Rohit Ghai, in collaboration with a business partner, plans to open Vatavaran on Beauchamp Place on November 7. This new Indian restaurant will add to their portfolio, which already includes Kutir in Chelsea and Manthan in Mayfair. The name Vatavaran, meaning “atmosphere” in Sanskrit, is inspired by the peaceful landscapes of the Himalayas.

Rosa’s Thai has formed partnerships with Uber Eats and Just Eat, marking a shift from its previous exclusive relationship with Deliveroo that lasted for seven years. The TriSpan-backed restaurant group now operates 42 locations across the UK, including cities such as London, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Manchester.
