The Woodsman Restaurant, situated within Hotel Indigo Stratford upon Avon, is set to host an exclusive ‘Flavours of the Ocean’ tasting evening in collaboration with ‘Flying Fish’ on Wednesday, 16 October. This special event will showcase a meticulously curated 7-course tasting menu, each dish paired with complementary drinks. Attendees will also take part in engaging discussions on sustainable fishing practices. With limited spaces available, the cost for this event is £125 per person.

Flying Fish stands as one of the UK’s leading seafood suppliers, dedicated to sustainability and quality, delivering fresh fish and shellfish straight from Cornish waters to The Woodsman kitchen within 48 hours. The Woodsman, which boasts 2 AA Rosettes, is helmed by restaurateur Mike Robinson, co-owner of the Michelin-starred Harwood Arms in Fulham.

Under the leadership of Executive Head Chef Greg Newman, The Woodsman promises an extraordinary dining experience centered around sustainability, seasonality, and locally sourced ingredients.

Executive Chef Greg Newman stated, “This carefully curated menu highlights the finest, sustainably sourced seafood from the British Isles. From well-loved favourites to lesser-known species, each course is designed to showcase the unique flavours and textures of the ocean, paired perfectly with drinks to enhance the dining experience.”

The next tasting evening, ‘A Wild Winter Feast,’ will take place on 14 November, celebrating the game season with a menu featuring various game birds like Pigeon, Mallard, Partridge, and Grouse—cooked over open fires and complemented by a selection of locally grown and foraged autumn ingredients.

On 12 December, ‘A Chef’s Christmas’ will bring festive cheer as 7 chefs will present 7 courses, each dish created by a member of the kitchen team using their favorite ingredients and cooking techniques, all with a creative holiday twist.
