At Wadswick Green, a modern lifestyle village for those over 60 in Corsham, the Greenhouse Restaurant has been completely refurbished with a focus on a zero waste initiative.

The renovation was conducted with full input from both the restaurant’s owners and the broader Wadswick Green community. Park Grove Design led the redesign and refit, taking into account all feedback from owners, resulting in a stunning new color palette.

This refurbishment greatly benefits both Wadswick Green residents and local patrons who frequently visit the restaurant for comforting meals.

Leon Sheppard, the Head Chef at The Greenhouse, is passionate about crafting hearty British dishes with a modern twist, utilizing the region’s seasonal and fresh produce. Joining The Greenhouse in October 2022 from the highly rated 5-star hotel, The Methuen, Leon’s evolving menus highlight local produce from Wiltshire suppliers while catering to diverse tastes and preferences.

Village Manager Keith Turnbull commented on the project: “The design aims to blend The Greenhouse’s beautiful setting within the village’s 25 acres of landscaped gardens.” He added, “We also aimed to reflect our commitment to a zero food miles carbon footprint, with kitchen garden produce from Chris Liversidge and his landscaping team used in fresh, seasonal dishes.”

Turnbull expressed that the new design revitalizes the village, delighting the owners and proving popular. He emphasized, “The Greenhouse serves as an ideal hub for our evolving community. I’m thrilled to share the new photos showcasing the fantastic interiors.”

In line with Wadswick Green’s ESG policy, there was a strong emphasis on recycling original furniture and accessories. Many owners, along with their families and friends, requested to rehome the furniture in exchange for small donations to Dorothy Hospice, a local charity meaningful to the village. Additionally, Keith shared items on Facebook Marketplace to benefit the community, including individuals starting new homes and even a new café near Bath.

The Greenhouse provides a contemporary and comfortable dining experience amidst picturesque surroundings, with large floor-to-ceiling windows allowing diners to enjoy lush foliage and greenery. The restaurant features a chic and relaxed environment while the centerpiece bar showcases an extensive drink selection, appealing to wine enthusiasts.
