Dalata Hotel Group Plc has announced the opening of its fifth London hotel, the Maldron Hotel Shoreditch, which will create 45 new jobs in the area. This 157-guestroom hotel marks Dalata’s 23rd establishment in the UK, following new openings in Brighton, Liverpool, and Cathedral Quarter in Manchester. It is the second Maldron hotel in London, with the first being Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park, which opened last November.

The recent openings of five Maldron hotels have contributed 217 jobs and added 1,029 guestrooms to their UK portfolio, which now totals 4,535 rooms across 26 hotels. Additionally, Dalata manages three other hotels in London under the Clayton Hotels brand: Clayton Hotel City of London, Clayton Hotel Chiswick, and Clayton Hotel London Wall.

Maldron Hotel Shoreditch features the Group’s popular Grain & Grill bar and restaurant, offering a selection of favorite dishes, along with a Red Bean Roastery coffee dock that serves quality barista-prepared coffee. The hotel has achieved sustainability certification, ranking in the top 10% of new non-domestic buildings in the UK for environmental performance, with a BREEAM Excellent rating.

General Manager James Feeney expressed pride in opening the hotel in one of London’s most vibrant neighborhoods, confident that guests will appreciate the location. Dalata Hotel Group CEO Dermot Crowley noted that the opening aligns with their expansion strategy, emphasizing London as a key market with substantial opportunities. With this opening, Dalata now offers 5,080 guestrooms in the UK, with plans to expand to 9,500 rooms over time.
