The Loveable Rogue, Glasgow’s trendiest gastropub, is set to expand its footprint with a third location in the Southside. This new establishment, The Loveable Rogue Southside, will open on Nithsdale Road in the vibrant Strathbungo area on Thursday, October 17th, led by independent restaurateurs Joe and Amalia Lazzerini.

Building on the success of their existing locations in the city’s West and East sides, this new restaurant aims to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all diners. With a family-friendly focus, the Southside venue will feature a menu of comforting home-cooked favorites, including Roast Lamb Rump, Chicken Kiev, Oz Cheek Pie, and traditional Sunday roasts. Diners can expect to indulge in hearty comfort food accompanied by a diverse selection of wines, local ales, beers, spirits, and classic cocktails.

Located at 122-124 Nithsdale Rd, Glasgow G41 5RB, the restaurant will offer 40 covers and will feature a well-curated seasonal weekend brunch, à la carte, and Sunday roast menus that prioritize quality ingredients and local produce. Signature dishes will include Ham Hough, Cote de Bouef, Pan-Roasted Scallops, Rogue’s Fish and Chips, Pan-Fried Gnocchi, and Monkfish Cheek Scampi, adding unique twists to traditional favorites.

Head chef and co-owner Joe Lazzerini emphasizes the restaurant’s mission: "We will provide hearty, simple, and delicious meals that everyone can enjoy. Along with Rogue’s heartier dishes, we bring our renowned Sunday roast to the community, served all day every Sunday."

The Loveable Rogue Southside is also set to create eight new jobs and will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm until late for à la carte dining, and on Sundays from 12pm to 9pm for all-day Sunday roasts. Co-owner Amalia Lazzerini notes the charm of the Strathbungo area, stating, "By combining our focus on comfort food with friendly neighbourhood service, The Loveable Rogue Southside will offer a lively yet calm eating environment."

With its cozy aesthetic featuring exposed brick and beams, comfortable furnishings, and an outdoor seating area for 20 patrons, the venue aims to be a beloved neighborhood gathering spot.

Bookings are now open at theloveablerogue.co.uk/southside-bookings.
