Radisson Hotel Group has launched an initiative to implement Braille menus across 125 of its properties in South Asia, aimed at enhancing dining inclusivity for visually impaired guests. In partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Young Indians, this move reflects the Group’s commitment to creating welcoming environments.
Visually impaired guests often struggle with traditional menus, which can lead to dependence during dining experiences. By offering Braille menus, Radisson empowers these guests to independently navigate and select their meals with confidence. Additionally, select properties will include scannable audio QR codes, allowing guests to listen to the menu at their pace, improving the overall dining experience.
Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Senior Area Vice President, South Asia, stated, “At Radisson Hotel Group, we are committed to creating spaces that are welcoming and accessible for all our guests. Introducing Braille menus is an important step toward building inclusive dining experiences, ensuring that everyone—regardless of their abilities—feels valued.” Early adopters of this initiative include Radisson Blu Marina New Delhi and Radisson Blu Resort Kumbhalgarh.
Chef Rakesh Sethi emphasized that dining is an experience that should be accessible to everyone, promoting an inclusive environment where choices are made confidently. Rohit Puri from CII – Young Indians also commended the initiative, highlighting its importance in fostering independence and dignity for all.
This commitment to accessibility enhances overall guest satisfaction and positions Radisson Hotel Group as a leader in hospitality innovation. With over 194 hotels in operation and development in India, the Group continues to expand its presence, catering to diverse market needs and maintaining a strong portfolio across various tiers.
